They say the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach. I created Deb’s Kitchen at a time in my life when I was broken both financially and romantically. What started as a hobby and a way of keeping my then 6-year old son occupied, soon became a small business, registered with the local authority and with a 5* hygiene rating. I still make my jams and chutneys every year as a hobby and I enjoy selling them at local fairs, food festivals and markets.
And now my coaching clients love them too as a way to say ‘sorry’, ‘I love you’ and all sorts of other things. If your relationship is in a pickle or you’re stuck in jam, then a jar of yumminess is a small gesture to show you care.
My product list changes every year depending upon what produce I can source within a 10-mile radius of my home. And as ever, it is all made by hand in small batches in my kitchen.
